The incident has since concluded, and all units have cleared the scene.

According to public safety dispatch logs and radio communications, the incident was initially reported as a high-rise alarm at a three-story parking structure located near 839 3rd Avenue Southwest, at the intersection of American Way South and American Way North. The Carmel Fire Department dispatched six emergency units to handle the response:

Scanner radio traffic indicates that Ladder 341 was the first unit to arrive on the scene and reported "nothing showing," noting that system testing had recently been conducted at the facility.
